    What is the Dwell App?

The Dwell Scripture Listening App is a new and innovative way to listen to the Bible. You can listen to the whole Bible or different parts depending on what you're interested in. It's perfect for busy moms who are yearning to connect with God and listen to His Word throughout the day. There is no better way to start your day than by listening to God's Word!

The Dwell App is very user-friendly. Once you download the app, you can choose which book of the Bible you want to listen to. You can also choose how fast or slow you want the audio to play. Also, you can set a daily reminder so you don't forget to listen to Scripture each day.

How does the Dwell app work?

You can listen to entire books of the Bible, stories from the Old and New Testament, or themed playlists on topics such as hope and forgiveness. And speaking of playlists, you can also create your own playlists with any group of Bible verses or chapters you'd like to listen to on a regular basis. For example, let's say you're working on memorizing a few verses on faithfulness. You can add those Bible verses to your playlist and listen to the playlist during your morning run.

Whether you're looking for a specific verse or just wanting to browse, Dwell's user-friendly lists will help you find what you're looking for in seconds. With Dwell, you can listen to Scripture whenever and wherever you want. Whether you're driving to get groceries, taking an afternoon walk with a sleeping toddler on a stroller, or cooking dinner, you can easily fit in a little bit of God's Word. It's such an incredible app for Christian moms to have on hand. I only wish I had it during pregnancy and also during my postpartum days when newborn life was so hectic!

The Dwell Bible app audio experience

The best part of this app is that you can customize your listening experience. The developers did an excellent job of creating a unique listening experience, where you can choose between different voices and background music options.

App voices and music background options

There are 15 voice options or narrators for you to enjoy inside Dwell. As a musician, one of my favorite features is the music background option! The app currently has a total of 74 songs. Song options include ambient, guitar, hymns, piano, and piano with cello.

You can choose the reader's voice and the background music independently! I personally love the piano and hymns and find them soothing! The voices are each very professional and clear. So far, I've been using the app with hymns, piano, and piano with cello music playing in the background.

The background music I've heard so far sound like they belong in an inspirational video. You can choose to listen without background music. You can also have the background music randomized or set to default preferences.

    Christian quotes about the Bible

    • “But for this book we could not know right from wrong.” - Abraham Lincoln

    • “There are times when solitude is better than society, and silence is wiser than speech. We should be better Christians if we were more alone, waiting upon God, and gathering through meditation on His Word spiritual strength for labour in his service. We ought to muse upon the things of God, because we thus get the real nutriment out of them. . . . Why is it that some Christians, although they hear many sermons, make but slow advances in the divine life? Because they neglect their closets, and do not thoughtfully meditate on God’s Word. They love the wheat, but they do not grind it; they would have the corn, but they will not go forth into the fields to gather it; the fruit hangs upon the tree, but they will not pluck it; the water flows at their feet, but they will not stoop to drink it. From such folly deliver us, O Lord. . . .” - Charles H. Spurgeon

    • “The Bible was not given for our information but for our transformation.” - Dwight Lyman Moody

    • “Faith is not inferred from the happy way things work. It is an act of will, a choice, based on the unbreakable Word of a God who cannot lie, and who showed us what love and obedience and sacrifice mean, in the person of Jesus Christ.” - Elisabeth Elliott

    • "In His word, God has committed to men the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are to be accepted as an authoritative, infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the revealer of doctrines, and the test of experience." - Ellen White

    Bible verses about the Bible

    • "Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” - Luke 11:28

    • “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock." - Matthew 7:24

    • "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

    • "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." - Hebrews 4:12

    • "Your word is a lamp to my feet. And a light to my path." - Psalm 119:105

    • "How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word." - Psalm 119:105
